About
Why attend Studio Artisane?
Why does Studio Artisane use an “e” in the name?
The “e” nods to the French language and to a more inclusive view of making. At Studio Artisane, you build, learn, and create without old stereotypes getting in the way. Kids, teens, and adults are welcome.
What kinds of skills do you teach in class?
You learn practical, hands-on skills like tool use, measuring, cutting, and building. The focus is on safe power tool work and real project-making.
Do your workshops encourage reusing and building things yourself?
Yes. You make something useful with your own hands, which is a great alternative to buying the same item again and again. It feels practical, creative, and a little more sustainable too.
How do your classes build both skills and confidence?
You use your hands, your focus, and your problem-solving skills in every class. You measure, cut, build, and finish a real project while your confidence grows along the way.
Your self esteem grows when you're away from screens.
Our classes focus on maximizing your opportunity for success in small group settings. Let’s get rid of that sad empty feeling after spending night after night staring at a screen. People just feel better about themselves when they create and complete. Studio Artisane participants often describe pride as the dominant emotion after completing a course with Sandrine.
Can learning woodworking save you money later?
Yes, it can. When you learn to build and repair simple projects, you may handle more jobs yourself and feel more confident tackling home projects.
Do I need woodworking experience to join a class?
No. We teach beginners step by step. You learn the tool, the safety basics, and the build process with hands-on guidance.
